"Longevity" - Necklace

A spiral rope necklace with a clay pendant - 19 inches in length. The spiral rope is made from seed beads - the core burgandy size 6º and the spiral orange metalic size 11º. The clay pendant is 1 inch long and 1/2 inch wide. The image is two cranes with their necks intertwined. The necklace also has a button closure. The image of the crane is sometimes used to symbolize Longevity - hence the name of this necklace. This necklace is on sale in my Etsy Store now.

Here is a close up of the Crane pendant.

"Sticks & Stones" - Spiral Rope Bracelet

I liked the spiral rope bracelet "Rock Candy" so much I decided to make another one featuring beads and chips. This one has size 6 black seed beads as the core and jasper chips as the spiral. It also has a gold toggle closure. The inside dimension of this bracelet is 7 inches so it will fit a size 6 1/2 to 6 3/4 inch wrist.

Here is another picture of it opened. The jasper chips are smaller than the flourite chips in "Rock Candy" so you can see the spiral here better.

"Rock Candy" - Spiral Rope Beacelet

This is a new bracelet completed today. It is a spiral rope using size 6 seed beads as the core and Fluorite chips as the spiral. It has a sterling silver toggle clasp. The chips are rather large in proportion to the seed beads so the seed beads are not very prominent. I named this one "Rock Candy" because it looks just like rock candy and is just as sweet!!

Here is another view of the bracelet open. This will fit a size 6 to 6 1/2 inch wrist. This bracelet is for sale at my web store Totally Twisted.

This is the second bangle I did using tubular peyote and wire. The beads are size 6 seed beads - red, matte grey and clear. I like this one too.

"Sand & Sable" - Bangle

I am trying to learn some bead weaving techniques. This bracelet is made using tubular peyote stitch with size 6 seed beads - brown, cream and topaz. The stitch creates a spiral tube. I have been making spiral rope bracelets and finishing them with button closures so I wanted to try something different with this and since the stitch creates a tube I thought I might combine wire work with it. I put 14 gauge brass wire in the beaded tube and created a bangle. I am quite pleased with this bracelet. I like the combination of the seed beads and the wire. This bracelet is small and would fit a size 6 inch wrist.

The tubular peyote by itself is very flexible but using the wire inside makes it a bangle - not flexible anymore like my spiral rope bracelets. I do think it works and makes an attractive, fun bracelet.

Spiral Rope Necklace

I thought I would try expanding the spiral rope into a necklace - this one measures 20 inches and is a blue/turquoise matte size 8 seed bead with a topaz size 6 seed bead as the core. It has a matching button closure. Love it.

Here is another picture - I had problems taking photos of this one - maybe I should take pictures of the necklaces on the necklace forms? I would like to make a matching bracelet but I need more of the blue beads.
