Moonflower - Bead Embroidery Cuff

I finished this bracelet a few days ago but just got around to taking photos today. I am pretty happy with the way this one came out and I learned so much. I used the hooks and eyes for the closure and I like that also. This bracelet is small fitting a size 5 3/4 to 6 inch wrist - having said that it is large in scale over 2 inches at it's widest point. I guess I will put it out on my Etsy Shop for sale - I was going to keep it but I can always make another!

Even More Work In Progress - Bead Embroidery Cuff

Well I am just about done with the surface beading on my cuff. I need to add the closures - I am going to try using hooks and eyes as a closure rather than mounting this on a cuff blank and see how that works. I then need to back the cuff and finish off the edges - this was a lot of work but I worked on it over a long period of time and did some other things in between. I really like how this is coming along and for my first try at something like this and with no plan I am happy and I learned a lot too. I hope to be finished tonight or tomorrow - but I need to get some painting done today too.

More Work In Progress - Bead Embroidery Cuff

I did a bit more work on my embroidery cuff last night. It is coming along - since I didn't plan anything in advance except draw an outline, I am just seeing where adding the beads takes me. I am using this as a learning experience.

A Work In Progress - Bead Embroidery Cuff

Since I have tried my hand at bead embroidery I find I really like it. It is a nice change from beadweaving and I also like to combine the two. This is a new cuff I started using blue and silver beads - the focal is a large silver button. I have no plan, just adding beads as I go along and hope for the best. I am having fun and that's what counts.

Back from Vacation

I am back from vacation and trying to catch up. I did not get any beading done while I was away but did sell a pair of earrings on Etsy and I sold a pendant/necklace to someone in PA - so that is good news. I still haven't unpacked all the beading stuff I took with me - maybe later today after laundry and some other things that need attention.

The Bronze Age - Peyote Cuff

This is a new peyote cuff I just finished. The focal is a button (shank removed) with size 15, 11, 8 and 6 seed beads surrounding it. The band is a 2 drop peyote stitch in a bronze colored size 8 seed bead. This cuff will fit a size 6 1/4 to 6 1/2 inch wrist. You can find this bracelet in my Etsy Shop.
