Well this is what I did with that MRAW band I started the other day. I had a small piece of memory wire and some left over beads so I thought I would play around a bit. I am not thrilled with these color choices but it is a fun bracelet and I did learn some things so no loss.

Starting something new this is the beginning with my MRAW belly band. It always amazes me when beading people say they have visions of what they want to make or do all kinds of pre-panning. I just cannot work that way. I just get out the beads and start to bead and see what develops. At the start I think it will be a bracelet or necklace but sometimes even that changes. I guess it is a weird way to work but that is how I do it. I wonder what this start will turn out to be????
To make the belly band see the book Contemporary Geometric Beadwork page 39 or see this video Kate made on MRAW Bellyband & Tri-Wing Ring: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=gA-J-9ujpKM#!

I just love making these wing and horned bangles. This one is just for me and fits perfectly. I also love that I can use up bits of beads from other projects. Mixing colors works so well with these designs.
If you have not ordered your copy of Contemporary Geometric Beadwork by Kate McKinnon do yourself a favor and do so right now. This is the most amazing book and will change the way you think about seed beads and beadweaving.
Just to give you and idea of how my new bangle looks on my wrist - well here it is. I can't wait to wear this one out and about.
